Purpose Of The Local Church
The Church is a local, called out assembly of true believers in Christ, who have been Scripturaly Baptized, and are working together to spread the Gospel. We are a family of faith, and want to reach out to all others regardless of race, or background. Our desire is to win as many as possible to the Lord and bring them into the Church, so that they may be taught the Lord's commands, and may benefit from God's blessings. We believe that the fullness of a relationship with God is realized within the local Church. We do not believe that a person must be a Church member to be saved;Christ died for all. We do believe that it is the will of God for true believers to unite with a local Bible believing Church. We are that kind of Church. We believe that the identification of that kind of Church is love. The real kind of love ,which comes only from God, is a love for fellow Church members and for all people.
Our Lord
The Lord Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church. He is the only Savior. There is no other name in which we may trust to receive forgivness and eternal life. He is the Eternal Son of God. He took human form through His virgin birth, and lived and ministered on earth. He died for our sins,was resurrected, ascended into Heaven, and reigns in glory with the Father forever. We believe He is returning to earth some day to establish His Kingdom. A true relationship with God the Father is established when any person truly trusts in Jesus Christ as Savior. The Holy Spirit of God takes up residence in a person's heart when this happens. Trusting in Christ, the Son allows God the Father to begin recreating us by the Spirit into the person He would have us be. This relationship with Father Son and Spirit is not possible without faith in Jesus Christ.
