New Bethel Bountiful Blessings Deliverance Church was founded and established on July 21, 1985 by the late Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson of Memphis, TN and Dr. Rance Allen was installed as the Pastor on this date. Although located in Toledo, Ohio, the church became affiliated with Bishop Patterson's Bountiful Blessings ministry in Memphis, TN. In the Fall of 1988 Bishop Patterson became re-affiliated with the Church of God In Christ (COGIC) and, as a result, New Bethel changed its name to New Bethel Church of God In Christ. Because of its locale and COGIC jurisdictional laws New Bethel was required to join a jurisdiction within its state of residency (Ohio). Therefore, on March 13, 1989 New Bethel became affiliated with the Toledo District under Ohio Northwest Jurisdiction under the late Bishop Robert L. Chapman of Cleveland, Ohio. In February, 1997 New Bethel became affiliated with Ohio North First Jurisdiction under the late Bishop William Morgan James. Currently the jurisdiction is presided by Bishop Edward T. Cook of Toledo, Ohio. New Bethel is presently one of 14 churches in the M.H. Hawkins District under Bishop Cook and Dr. Rance Allen serves as Chairman of the District. DIRECTIONS TO NEW BETHEL: FROM THE NORTH (DETROIT): I-75 south into Toledo to Collingwood exit, turn right onto Collingwood. Go four streets past the second light (Indiana) to Vance, turn right. Go four streets down to the church. FROM THE NORTHWEST (FLINT/YPSILANTI/ANN ARBOR): US 23 south to I-475 east to I-75 south to Collingwood. Exit and turn right. Go four streets past the second light (Indiana) to Vance, turn right. Go four streets down to the church. FROM THE SOUTH (COLUMBUS/CINCINNATI): I-75 north into Toledo to Collingwood. Exit and go to dead end, turn left. Go to the light (Nebraska), turn left. Go 3 blocks to Ewing, turn right. Church two streets down on your left. FROM THE EAST (CLEVELAND) AND WEST (INDIANA): Follow Ohio Turnpike to Exit 64 (I-75/Detroit), exit and follow I-75 north to Collingwood. Exit and go to dead end, turn left. Go to the light (Nebraska), turn left. Go 3 blocks to Ewing, turn right. Church two streets down on your left.
