From the Pastor's Desk
We come to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We come with grateful hearts for what the Lord has done and is doing in the body of Christ.(Deu 15:8-11) God has blessed this Ministry to offer the following programs and services: Men's Ministry, Women's Ministry and Youth Ministry: To empower each person to live for God and to be a strong example of Christianship to their families, relatives, friends and strangers. The Objective is to lead other souls to Christ. To fellowship with one another as to promote Christian growth and spiritual maturity. Dorcas Ministry: To encourage each women to be a strong woman in the Lord. To help the needy by providing, prayer, visitation, food, clothing and missionary services. Preacher Kid Ministry: To promote a network of Believers that are Preacher's Children. To help with peer pressure resulting from being a Preacher's Kid. Many PK's have difficulties coping with the secular world while living for Jesus. They feel as if they might miss many things without peer approval. Music and Drama: To promote Christian Music and Drama as an activity that brings high praises and thanksgiving to our Lord. Christian Academy: To provide Christian Education to children ages 2 through 8. We use the ABeka curriculum which is Christian based Education. The children are able to have (more than basic day care) a strong educational base learning environment in a safe haven.
A Church with Vision and Purpose
At Open Hand Ministries Temple of God, we believe in building and strengthening our community. We work togehter as a TEAM. TEAM means: Together Everybody Achieves More. The scriptures tells us "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity".(1 Cor 13:13) Our TEAM executes the following spiritual duties: Food Pantry, Clothing, Senior Aid, Youth Mentoring, Health Fairs (the effects of tabacco products and preventive cancer information), grant development, employment services (Senior and Youth), student internship, counseling, Bible studies, arts and crafts, audio/video recording, talent networking, and many youth related activities and services.
