Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ. Thank you for visting our site and we hope
that you will join us for Sunday School, Worship
Service, or take part in our weekly Bible Study. We
also invite you to participate in our growing family and
community ministries.
OUR HISTORY
Warren Temple United Methodist Church which is currently located on
the corner of East Depot and Union Streets is more than 150 years
old. It was founded in 1865 by freed slaves.
It has held worship in this community as a member of the Central
Jurisdiction Methodist Episcopal Church, and since 1972, it has been
a part of the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Our current edifice was built by one of the members,
Mr. John Moore, and was completed in 1934.

Not only do they serve in the worship service, they have one of
the fastest growing Sunday School classes.
Our children are being trained in the Warren Temple heritage
of praise and participation.

Our newly established Young Adult Ministry is becoming
a very active ministry. This ministry incorporates all persons from
ages 19-35. This ministry has appropriately adapted the theme "A new
praise for a new generation". Currently the ministry is working on
establishing a Young Adult Bible study, a Campus ministry to
incorporate local colleges and high schools, monthly mixers and a
Single Parent Bible Study. These are only a few of the many
projects. Look for great things from this ministry.
