A Bit of History
Cornerstone was established in 1994 with the expressed intent of building a strong community of believers that would reach out with God's love to the people of Toronto's innercity. It is our desire to work together with other christians & churches of various denominations to help build Gods kingdom in our city and beyond.
Why we are here
Cornerstone Urban Church exists to communicate the bible and the life of Jesus Christ in a relevant way to people who live, work, and frequent our community. We strive to provide an environment where people can encounter God in a personal and meaningful way, where they can experience acceptance and growth through loving, honest, and supportive friendships, and where they have an opportunity to make an impact on the world around them. Our Goal... The heartbeat of our pastors and leaders is for the people of this church to work together with this one passion: TO MAKE TOTALLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE. how will we accomplish this.... Consistently develop, teach, and model the five purposes of Cornerstone which are Worship, Evangelism, Discipleship, Fellowship, and Ministry, so that we will offer spiritually healthy and mature individual lives in a church that honors God in every way.
