Teaching, Preaching and Reaching out to People
In this world we are faced with many problems, probems with our children and violence in schools, drug and alcohol addiction, prejudice, and many other society problems. Also, there are problems of many kind in our Churches. We as Christians must do more to teach moral standards, and good conduct according to the Christian standards of living. As a Pastor, one of the greatest challenges for me is to help inspire men and women, boys and girls, to live a dedicated life for the Lord, to encourage them to give more of themselves, and their talents to the Church and to helping others.
A Spiritual Prescription
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways: then will I [we] hear from heaven, and [God] will forgive their sins, and will heal their land. (II Chornicles 7:14) God has already written out a spiritual prescription for us. We must take the medicine that he has provided for us. The Bible is our prescription, we must read it, we must obey it, and we must trust it, if we want to be healed.
