The History
St. John's Covenant Church of God in Christ was established through a covenant relationship with St. Johns' Church of God in Christ, Albany, New York, where Elder McKinley Johnson is Pastor. Our first service was conducted on July 27, 2000 at the home of Pastor Marc Johnson. As membership increased, the church relocated to the Days Inn, where we currently attend worship services and bible studies, until the Lord leads us to our next phase of growth.
The Vision
The St. John's Covenant Church is committed to reaching the lost and weak souls for Christ within the inner city and the surrounding areas of our local assembly. We are dedicated to ministering to the whole man: body, soul, and spirit. We will provide a ministry that will strengthen each individual and family that GOD places in our pathway. We plan to introduce and maintain a lifestyle of holiness, while using a blend of the orthodox and contemporary methods. We are committed to "changing the world's mind" by evangelizing, preaching, and teaching Christ with a unique expression of "The Covenant".
