WHAT WE BELIEVE
Thou shalt worship thy God and Him only shalt thou serve. Matthew 4:10; O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker. Psalm 95:6 Also see, John 4:23, 24; Philippians 3:3
HOW SHOULD WE WORSHIP THE LORD?
But the hour cometh, and is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a Spirit, and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth. John 4:23,24; see also Philippians 3:3
WHY DO WE PRAISE THE LORD?
Bless the Lord, O my Soul; and all that is within me bless His Holy name. Psalm 103:1; By Him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name. Heb. 13:15; See also Rev. 19:1-6; Psalm 34:1-3; Acts 4:24
WHY DO WE LIFT OUR HANDS IN WORSHIP?
Thus will I bless Thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in Thy name. Psalm 63:4. Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord Psalm 134:2; I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting 1 Timothy 2:8
WHY DO WE CLAP OUR HANDS?
O clap your hands, all ye people, shout unto God with the voice of triumph. Psalm 47:1
WHY DO SOME DANCE BEFORE THE LORD?
Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and His praise in the congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in Him that made him; let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name in the dance; let them sing praises unto Him with the timbrel and harp. Psalm 149:1-3
WHY DO OFTEN STAND WHEN WE SING?
And the Levites stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high. 2 Chronicles 20:19; see also Rev. 7:9,10
WHY DO WE HAVE SPEAKING IN UNKNOWN TONGUES AND INTERPRETATION IN THE CHURCH?
Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak in tongues. 1 Cor. 14:27; But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man for the profit of all...to another diverse kind of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 1 Cor. 12:7,10; I would that you all spoke with tongues. 1 Cor. 14:5; see also 1 Cor. 14:27
WHY DO SOME PROPHESY?
Follow after love, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that you may prophesy... He that prophesieth speaks to men edification and exhortation and comfort. 1 Cor. 14:27; see also Amos 3:8; 1 Cor. 12:7,10 & 14:3,29,31
WHY DOES THE WHOLE CHURCH PRAY AT ONCE FOR SPECIFIC NEEDS?
They lifted up their voices to God in one accord Acts 2:24
WHY DO WE SING IN OTHER TONGUES AND IN ENGLISH?
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also; I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 1 Cor. 14:14-15; Forbid not praying in tongues 1 Cor. 14:39
