Pilgrim Rest is a church where we have a feeling with God's help everything will be alright. The church where everyone is someone and God Is Our Father * Christ Is Our Redeemer* Man Is Our Brother. 
The Mission of the African Methodist Episcopal Church is to minister to the spiritual, intellectual,, physical and emotional, and evnironmental needs of all people by spreading Christ's liberating gospel thourgh word and deed, at every level of the Connection and in every local church, the African Methodist Episcopal Church shall engage in carrying out the spirit of the original Free African Society, out of which the A.M.E. Church evolved: that is to seek out and save the lost, and serve the needy though a continuing program of: PREACHING THE GOSPEL; FEEDING THE HUNGRY; HOUSING THE HOMELESS; CHEERING THE FALLEN; PROVIDING JOBS FOR THE JOBLESS; ADMINISTERING TO THE NEEDS OF THOSE IN PRISIONS, HOSPITALS,NURSING HOMES, ASYLUMS AND MENTAL INSTITUTIONS, SENIOR CITIZENS' HOMES; CARING FOR THE SICK, THE SHUT-IN, THE MENTALLY AND SOCIALLY DISTURBED AND ENCOURAGING THRIFT AND ECONOMIC ADVANCEMENT.

June 29 to July 6-Church Anniversary/Homecoming. Guest Preacher-Rev. Eugene Russ . Please place your ad for the souvenir booklet. Contact Katrina Shepherd for the details-Please make sure that you fill out your T-Shirt envelop along with with your money. to be turned in by June 8, 2003 The following auxiliaries are responsible for cleaning the church for June: 1st Week- Stewards, 2nd Week- Willing Workers, 3rd Week- Pastor's Aid, 4th Week-Sons of Allen. In addition, the following trustees will be responsible for opening and closing the church. The week of : June 1- Odell Davis, June 8- Mable Gibbs, June 15- Paul Jamison, June 22- Sam Jamison, June 29- John Middleton Choir Concert featuring the Pilgrim rest Adult Choir to be held June 15, 2003 at 7pm
