Mount Carmel is a mainline protestant congregation of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. At Mount Carmel, the Lord has led us to teach and preach from an Afrocentric theological perspective. Liberation Theology is the basis of the preaching moment with an emphasis not just on the "otherworldly", but also on the everyday struggles of our society. For how can our spirits be free on Sunday morning if we suffer oppression in the world for the rest of the week? After you have faced the rigors and challenges of the valley and the dry bones therein, come to the "Meeting on the Mountaintop" for renewed vigor and strength for the journey!
