THE SANFORD CHURCH OF GOD

WHO WE ARE

The Sanford Church Of God is a Full Gospel, Pentecostal church. We believe in the whole Bible rightly divided. Our worship is informal and spontaneous and is based on the pattern of the Word Of God. We believe in sound Biblical preaching and teaching that will have an inpact of the lives of people.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

1. To see people come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord 
   and Savior    

2. To Disciple them into a deeper, more intimate, and personal walk
   with the Lord.

3. To share the love of Jesus with everyone we can.  

4. To minister  to the needs of people whether they are spiritual,
   physical, emotional, or material

5. To exalt and expand the Kingdom of God.

OUR DECLARATION OF FAITH

WE BELIEVE

1.  In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.

2.  In one God eternally existing in three persons namely, the Father,
    Son, and Holy Ghost.

3.  That Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of the Father,
    conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary.  That
    Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead.  That He
    ascended to Heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father
    as the Intercessor.                                               

4.  That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that
    repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for
    forgivness of sins.                                               

5.  That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought
    by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.                            

6.  In santification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in
    the blood of Christ;through the Word;and by the Holy Ghost.       

7.  Holiness to be God's standard of living for His people.           

8.  In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.   

9.  In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance 
    and that is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

10. In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be 
    baptised in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
    Holy Ghost.                                                       

11. Devine healing is provided of all in the atonement.               

12. In the Lord's Supper and washing of the saints feet.              

13. In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First to resurrect
    the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in
    the air.  Second to reign on the earth a thousand years.          

14. In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and
    eternal punishment for the wicked.

    friendship.  That's why we make it a priority to build lasting
    bonds between the members of our church fanily - bonds of concern
    and genuine commitment to one another. Best of all the circle of
    care is ever widening.  We'd love for it to include you.          

A PLACE FOR LEARNING: To us studying the Bible is vital because it
    not only instructs us intellectually, but guides us spiritually
    Learning its truths is a thrilling adventure.                     

A PLACE FOR ENRICHMENT: For every person at every age leval we offer
    a wealth of opportunities - special programs for children, youth
    and adults which fill the church calendar.                        

A PLACE FOR SERVICE: Just as Jesus came not to be ministered unto but
    to minister, we accept our responsibility to reach out in service
    to others.                                                        

A PLACE FOR WORSHIP: The primary reason we meet together is to focus 
    our attention on God, giving Him the honor and glory that He
    desires, and receiving His blessing and inspiration. Each of these
    occasions is a special time of spiritual refreshment.

AN INVITATION
     Please regard this as my personal invitation to you to
worship at the Sanford Church of God. Here you will have the 
opportunity to:
. struggle with the complex issues of contempory society in 
  light of the Bible and the Pentecostal Faith;
. join with other gifted people who make up the church and
  become involved in the close interaction between church
  and pastoral staff;
. prepare yourself for the ministry and care of the community;
. share the commitment of those who have come together in this 
  church and Christian school in order to prepare for greater
  service to humanity and to Christ and His Church.

Power Connection is the exciting youth ministry of the Sanford Church of God.
  At Power Connection we know that Satan is out to
steal, kill and destroy the young peple of today.  We, however, know
that God has other plans for their lives, and we are dedicated to
reaching and discipleing the youth of Central Florida.  We want young
people to experience God in a life changing way.
  
     At Power Connection there is always something to do.  Some of
our activities are bowling, lock-ins, trips, youth rallies, drama,
afterglows, human videos, and scavenger hunts just to name a few.  So 
if your looking for a place to experience God, grow spiritually, and 
have lots of fun then come check us out.
