First Church is the charter membership of COGIC in the greater Wichita
area.
Our legacy of membership stretches back more than 80yrs.
Founder Bishop Jones was one of the "original sons" of the COGIC, who passed the legacy to the late Bishop I.B.Brown who celebrated more 100yrs of life before going home to meet the Lord.
Pastor Sherrod and congregation wants all to know that,
"YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOMED TO A PLACE WHERE EVERYBODY IS SOMEBODY."

HOLY HOLY HOLY IS THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!
First Church is one of the more traditional churches with one of the oldest memberships in the area.
We are highly involved in the community, with our weekly 12pm Saturday Community Prayer, and also
BALM IN GILEAD'S Black Church prayer for the healing of AIDS.
Although First Church may be old in name "we are young in spirit."
"No matter how I think or feel, GOD IS yet worthy to be praised"
