Statement of Purpose and Mission

PURPOSE: We of Connunity of Faith believe that in order for us to fulfill the Great Commission of our Lord (Matt 28:18-20), we have established the Society of the Servants of Jesus (SSJ). As Servants of Jesus we see that Jesus Christ is our "Divine Truth". It is the Divine Truth of Jesus that unites us in fellowship, dwells in us by the Holy Spirit, through love (Agape) we live by grace, mercy and peace through Jesus Christ, and by loving obedience to Jesus Christ is the pathway in which we walk. This is what gives purpose to those who are of the Society of the Servants of Jesus. MISSION: Jesus Christ is Divine Truth, The mission of this Order is to proclaim God's transended love (Agape) for all His creation through the Spiritual Disciplines of Prayer, Worship, Study, Service, Proclaimation of the Gospel, and Works of Grace.

Statement of Faith

We believe in One God revealed as the Triune Godhead as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We belive that the Bible is the divinely inspired Word of God and the only rule and norm of Faith and practice. We believe that man was created in a state of inocence, but because of the fall of Adam sin was imputed to all mankind, and all human beings are born with a sinful nature. We also believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, becomming the subsitutionary sacrafice, and all who repent and believe in Jesus shall be saved. (Romans 10:9-10) Those who are saved shall inherit Eternal life in the joy and presence of God. We believe in Water Baptism; in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; as the outward and public sign of the inward decision of one's heart to live in Christ. We believe in the Sacrament of Holy Communion, for those who are in Christ, as a sacrafice of praise and thanksgiving by which we prticipate in the sacrafice that Jesus made on the Cross. Communion is the Sacrament commanded by Christ for continual remembrance of His life, death, resurection, and our hope of His comming again. Our relationship with Christ, sealed by Water baptism, and continued in Holy Communion leads us to the belief of Sanctification as a definite yet progressive work of grace through Faith in Jesus Christ **NOTE For a more detailed statement of faith contact Rev.
