Pastor's Second Anniversary
Come and celebrate with us on February 6-8, 2001 starting at 7:00p.m. for our weekly celebration in honor of our Pastor, David S. Carter on his second anniversary. Then on Saturday, February 10 we will be serving at Faith Missions to give something back to the community. On Sunday, February 11, the Rev. Granville Seward from New Jersey will be delivering the Word from on high for both morning services. To finish it all off we will be having an afternoon service at 5:00 p.m. We are looking forward to having a wonderful time in praise and worship and thanking God for all that He has done for us and giving us a Pastor according to His own heart!
The Ministry Committed to Excellence
The Lord has given the ministry of Second Baptist Church, "The Ministry Committed to Excellence," a three-tiered on Trinitarian mission. The Mission is as follows: * To become the Epicenter of Evangelistic Activity; * To become the Epicenter of Discipleship Training; and * To become the Epicenter of Leadership Development in the urban community where we reside. As we reside in the heart of the community, it is our charge to be the difference maker and catalyst in the life of this community. As we focus on our mission and function in our spiritual gifts, transformation will begin as we move in the power of the Holy Spirit.
