WHAT WE DO
SHALOM CHURCH MINISTRITES WHO WE ARE? Shalom Church Ministries (SCM) is working in Pakistan from 1985. Since than the Church is fighting to snatch the captured souls from the unmerciful hands of Satan. During these years The SCM has introduced his ministry throughout the country, in urban areas of major cities of Pakistan as well as in rural areas. We intend to win souls for Christ and to prepare Laborers to work in the field of Lord and to be a Samaritan for all those who are needy. Rev. Pastor Shahbaz Anjum is the Senior Pastor of Shalom Church Ministry. God used Him to preach the word of God almost all over Pakistan and also in Singapore, South Korea and in all states of U.A.E. With His team of twenty Pastors, Evangelists and SCM is trying its level best to fulfil the great commission of the Lord Jesus Christ. SCM is a Pentecostal Church and we believe that by the blood of the son of God we are saved. ABOUT OUR TWO FOLD MINISTRY:- He has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." ……. CRUSADE MINISTRY In April 1989 we hold our first crusade from then we are arranging crusades once a year and sometimes twice a year regularly. Till now million of people have attended these meetings. Preachers from Pakistan and from abroad came and preached the Gospel in our crusades. We give praise to the holy name that He was always with us to strengthen us in all our programs. Recently in our annual Spiritual Healing Crusade Oct. 2000. There was a multitude of people to hear the Good news. Rev. Shahbaz Anjum and Evangelist Paul Wambua preached the Gospel. People accepted LORD JESUS CHRIST as their personal saviour and there were many who got physical healing. And very special and praising thing of the recent crusade was this that beside Christians Muslims also came in a large number to attend the meetings and they also accepted the LORD JESUS CHRIST as a redeemer of their sins. Near about 5000 people daily heard the word of God so approximately 20,000 people heard the voice of the living God during these four days. From 22-25 March 2001 we hold our second Spiritual Healing Crusade in FrancisAbad Gujranwala again. Rev. Jikha Cho, Rev. Han from South Korea and Rev.Shahbaz Anjum from Pakistan were there to preach the Good news of the Gospel. People were so anxious to hear the Lord's voice that they were sitting till midnight and singing songs to glorify the Lord God. People in thousands and many of them accepted Jesus Christ as their personal saviour. Although in Pakistan we are having our Government Election days and it was wedding season and because of this it was really difficult to for the most of people to attend the Crusade but people were here and they proved how they love their God. Home cell Ministry We believe that our Lord is with us in our daily life and He is not more the captured God in the Church buildings but He dwells with us in our homes and in our hearts. So our Pastors and Evangelists arrange home cell meetings and we find this is a great rich spiritual nourishment for the believers. WOMEN MINISTRY Our Women Ministry is very effective and diligent to share the Good news of the great work of salvation with women. Saleema Dewan and Mrs. Rev. Shahbaz Anjum both are doing her best to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. CHURCH PLANTATION We have churches in different cities of Pakistan like Karachi, Lahore, Kamonke, and also in rural areas of Pakistan and we aim to establish more and more churches in different cities as well as in rural areas of Pakistan. youth groups In almost all Churches where Shalom Church Ministry is working we have established Youth Groups because we know that youth are the effective tools in the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ. BIBLE STUDY GROUPS We have established Bible study groups in our Churches to grow and to go deep in the knowledge of God. CHOIR PRAISE AND WORSHIP We believe that God enthrones on the "Praise and Worship" of their children. God has given us Good Musician and Singers to worship the Lord Living God. WEEKLY CHURCH MEETINGS In all our Churches we arrange weekly meetings not only on Sunday but also on other days of the weeks. UP COMING Seminar " Faith in Action" July 2002 Seminar is going to held in hill station at Murree. It will be for the Pastors, Evangelists and for the leaders. GOOD SAMARITAN MINISTRIES GOOD SAMARITAN SCHOOL What we have. 105 Children (Class Pre-Nsy to V.)Those are studying free because their parents can't afford the fee, uniform and other stationary expenses. Since 1992 we are running this school. 5 TEACHERS Volunteer teachers are teaches voluntarily but it is very dangerous for the students because whenever any teacher finds a job or want to leave we cannot force to stay because we are not paying so we can request them to stay more. We have just two staff members paid and there salary is too low for the means. RENTED BUILDINGS We have rented a 7 rooms house But its is really difficult to pay 500 $ per month. A PIECE OF LAND Thanks God that God gave us a piece of land although very small but we are thankful to our friend from our congregation who donated the piece of land. Its width is 25 feet and length is 50 feet. We are praying to have more land and building for the young children who are fighting with us to overcome the curse of illiteracy. Now we have more than 100 children who want to come to attend the school but because we cannot afford more children because the we are doing is without any regular sponsor ship. Every month we have to go to the people to ask to share the burden with us. So please pray for the regular sponsorship and specially for the building of school and arrangements so we could be able to educate more children in our Good Samaritan School. ADULT EDUCATION We have introduce adult education programs in our church and we find it very effective for the church as they grow spiritually they can read Bible the living Bread themselves. We want to establish our adult education schools throughout Pakistan within our Church and also in other churches to give a vital knowledge to the people. But its very expensive to run even our running adult education school to pay the teachers and to manage all expenses. Pray for the arrangements. SEMINARS We Seminars to educate the people on different topics. But its is always very expensive and it is really difficult to arrange for those people who are working voluntarily. We are praying for a permanent paid helper who will assist us to do all the arrangements. FREE TUTION CENTER We are teaching only up to level five in our school but for the students who are studying in higher classes we arrange free tuition center near there final exams so they can take classes for educational assistance. But to look for the volunteer teacher is always very difficult so we are praying to have a permanent teacher who can teach high level students because we have only primary level teachers. VOCATIONAL TRAININIG INSTITURE (SEWING CENTER) We have just five sewing machines and in FrancisAbad Gujranwala. In Pakistan women are far behind from men. And it is really difficult for Pakistani women to work out. So this is quite safe to learn sewing and because by this they can work at their home. Factories make a contact with these women by their field workers and give them job at their home place so it is really a good attraction for the women to learn sewing and to be a helping hand of her husband to fulfill all means of life. But we haven't enough sewing machines and urgently we need we need more sewing machines and some knitting machine a full time paid sewing school teacher.
