Our Beliefs
We believe in the omnipotent God revealed by Jesus the Christ to be the God of love, who calls us to work in his name with the help of the Holy Spirit. We are a diverse congregation of Christian people within a diverse community. We are a loving congregation that supports each other and welcomes all people. We believe our work and worship should be consistent with the ends of the Presbyterian Church: The great ends of the church are the proclamation of the Gospel for the salvation of humankind; the shelter, nurture and spiritual fellowship of the children of God; the maintenance of divine worship; the preservation of the truth; the promotion of social righteousness; and the exhibition of the kingdom of heaven to the world. We believe that as individuals we find guidance for our lives in the words of Micah: :He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice and love kindness and walk humbly with your God?" Amen.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be a vibrant congregation led by the Holy Spirit to respond to the needs of our community. We intend to share our faith and hope to lead the people of our community to be wholly and fully alive in the new life of Jesus Christ. We will worship God in forms that are meaningful, dignified and reflective, open to more variety of styles in our worship, music and spiritual education programs. Our worship will proclaim our beliefs, a light to shine forth in our community. Our congregation will reach out beyond the walls of our church and proclaim our message of faith to all people. Our church will be visible, welcoming and a leading force within our community. Amen.
