A PURPOSE DRIVEN CHURCH
The El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church is a spirit filled African American Church in Waxahachie, Texas that is ministering hope and teaching the Word of God to a hungry world. We are located 20 miles just South of Dallas, Texas and we have a growing church that is meeting the needs of a changing culture. We have ministries that meet every aspect of the need of man including Family Enrichment, Evangelism, Youth, Children and much more. Our goal is to stay focused on the message of the cross of Christ and build a ministry that touches the soul of humanity. Our purpose if four fold: 1) Worship, 2) Instruction, 3) Fellowship and 4) Evangelism. By excelling in these four areas we will continue to be a New Testament Church and a Church being blessed of God.
ABOUT THE PASTOR
The Senior Pastor of the El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church is Dr. Robert L. McKenzie. Dr. McKenzie is a native of Dallas where he recieved his formal education from the Wilmer-Hutchins High School in 1981. Upon graduation Pastor McKenzie served in the United States Army and upon coming back to Dallas after his enlisted was called by God into the gospel ministry. Dr. McKenzie has attened the Criswell College for Biblical Studies, Huston-Tillotson College in Austin, The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and the Andersonville Baptist Seminary. Dr. McKenzie is a prolific writer, speaker and community worker. Dr. McKenzie serves on several boards of directors in Waxahachie and Ellis County. Dr. McKenzie is married to Tawanda McKenzie and they have three childre: Tiarra (10), Darion (5) and Jordan (3). Dr. McKenzie is also a very sought after revial speaker nationally.
