The mission of Lakeview First Baptist Church is to sread the gospel to all people; to nurture Christian maturity; to glorify God through worship; and, to minister to the spiritual and physical needs of our church and community. (Matthew 28:18-20, John 4:23. and Matthew 25:25-36)
Master's Cup- Annual church golf tournament that raises money for the HUG party each year. The tournament raises nearly 13,000 dollars a year.
Hug Party- Each December the church helps the children and families of Catoosa and Walker counties. The church feeds the families breakfast and then takes the children to Wal-Mart where each child gets to spend $100 dollars on games and toys for Christmas. Then the family gets to pick out a ham or Turkey to take home with them. Finally, the families are feed lunch back at the Family Life Center and then is given two boxes of food items to take home with them. Each family leaves with games, toys and food, but more importantly they leave hearing the gospel message.
Mission Trips- Each summer the youth and adults go out to fulfill
the great commission. The students each summer a group of students and adults attend World Changers. The student ministry team also goes another mission trip prepared by the student minister (Rev. Daniel Ray) This past summer the students went to Pikeville, Kentucky for World Changers. The students went to Dauphin Island, Alabama for their summer mission trip.
CIA (Christians In Action)- As a heart felt desire for the Lakeview community the CIA was created to help assist neighbors who may need repair work or other things done that other wise would or could not be done. Adults and youth work together to make this a strong ministry in the church.
