Statement of Faith

We believe the bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God.

We believe that there is One God, eternally existent in three people: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance, faith in the Precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.

We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose Indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world: AMEN

From The Pastor's Desk

God Bless every one of you as you take the time to read these few words the Lord has placed in my heart. As I see how iniquity abounds, it troubles my spirit to see the church going after the things of the world. How is it that we as leaders of God's people, are allowing the world to become a part of what was and is sacred to God? Christ died for Holiness to stand above all that the devil has in this world. It is my opinion that some of our music, dress, speech, and attitude display Christ to the world as vulgar and whorish. I know these words are very strong words, but it's time for us to remember our purpose, and that is to show the world Jesus. I sometimes wonder when the world sees us do they ever see Jesus in us?

I'm just trying to encourage the children of God as to what the scripture says in II Timothy 2:19: "Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity."

I would like to bring your attention to a message that I preached entitled "A Lion on the Loose." I Peter 5:8-9 says: "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." Satan is that lion that is able to walk about casing the churches of our time. He is looking for the weak that will not say, "I am strong", and the lame that are this way because they do not pay attention to the Word so they may become doers and not hearers only. So then, some of the problems we're having with some that are leaders of people in churches, are of this set that have been devoured of Satan and turned them into ministers of his choosing. (II Corinthians 11:13-15: "For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.") They preach like us, shout like us, dance like us, and talk like us; but when you look at their works, rather than holding and affirming they're removing the ancient landmarks which our Fathers have built.

Saints, the standards we are holding up are not ours, but God's. Isaiah 49:22 says: "Thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold I will lift up mine hand to the Gentiles, and set up my standard to the people, and they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and thy daughters shall be carried upon their shoulders…"

In closing, I would say to you let us not be a conforming church, but a transformed people according to Romans 12:1-2: "I Beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

I encourage you to be prayerful that your Faith fails you not and the foundation of the Lord standeth sure in your life.

God Bless You,

Supt. James E. Walker, Jr
Pastor
