We, Bakersfield Deaf Fellowship Chapel is also affiliated with Southern Baptist Conference of the Deaf, SBC. The Southern Baptist Conference of the Deaf is : Servants who are Bible-believing Christ-centered Doing God's mission Mission Statement "To reach Deaf persons for Jesus Christ by serving as a cooperative network for Southern Baptist churches and agencies to fulfill the Great Commission by providing training, advocacy, worship, fellowship, missions awareness and mission involvement." Southern Baptist Conference of the Deaf (SBCD) is a non-profit organization formed for the following purposes: To provide a vehicle for obeying the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) with respect to deaf people by personal witnessing, evangelism, home missions, foreign missions, and discipleship. To provide opportunities for training in local church settings, in state conferences, and on the, national level to help equip people in all aspects of the deaf ministry. To assist deaf persons with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) and deaf persons, interpreting the needs and functions of the one to the other. To provide a channel of communication within the Southern Baptist deaf community. To provide an understanding of deafness and of the needs of deaf people to the community at large. To provide opportunities for inspirational worship experiences. To provide opportunities for Christian fellowship. Our Deaf Ministry is with a mission of First Southern Baptist Church. Bakersfield Deaf Fellowship Chapel focuses on discipleship, evangelism, and missions. We are encouraged the Deaf people to participate, lead, and grow their spirituals in Bible Study, Prayer, Fellowship, and Worship. The Deaf Ministries are also plan and lead Men's Breakfast Bible Study meet at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on every the 2nd week of Saturday of the month, Women's Breakfast Bible Study meet at 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on every the 3rd week of Saturday of the month, Wednesday Night Bible Study meet at the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 p.m., and lead many activities of the Deaf Ministries. We are committed to helping new Christians find God's will at the crossroads of their lives and helping new Christians grow in God's righteous in their lives.
