Established on Biblical principles, we believe the pentecostal experience as recorded in the second chapter of the book of Acts. In our services, you will find the open, joyful worship of God, praying for the sick by the laying on of hands and anointing with oil, preaching and teaching repentence and a born again experience, and the admonition to live a holy life. Gene Smith joined our church as a small boy. Today, he and his wife, Melva Nix Smith, lead as pastors. Their ministry includes not only those typical services performed, but also a musical ministry which is a blessing to all. Of utmost concern to them, they care for the people as only life long friends can care.

The Burnwell Bible Church of God was founded in 1932 by Rev. H. R. Nix and wife, Flossie. This church was founded and established as a place of true worship, fellowship, preaching of the Word of God. We are a place for people to celebrate, mourn, comfort,and fellowship. We invite you to come visit with us in the lively worship of God.
