History
Rector First Baptist Church has stood at the corner of Second and Stewart Sts. since 1876. The church is one of the oldest churches in Rector. Today it has a varied ministry. From Senior Adults to Preschoolers, the church ministers to all in the name of Jesus. The present Pastor, Bro. Ardell Polk, has been at the church for 9 years. Connected to the Rock of Ages yet consistently changing to enable ministry in a unique setting, First Baptist Church is growing and going for the sake of God's coming Kingdom.
