Waterford Gospel Church is situated in the rural community of Waterford in South Western Onatario, Canada. Waterford Gospel Church began some five years ago, when a small group of believers started meeting in a local home. This small group of believers were deeply concerned about the condition of the church, and the aparent shift from Biblical foundations. The Lord honored their faithfulness and in answer to prayer the initial group flourished and grew. As a result, the home became too small and a more spacious building was rented. The Waterford Gospel Church family, now meet each Lord's Day in the Waterford Community Centre, Church St., West, Waterford. If you live in the Waterford area, and are seeking a Bible based, caring Church family, we exstend to you a warm welcome and an invitation to join us for worship and the ministry of the Word this Lord's Day.
1. To Evangelize Sinners (Matt 28:19) The heartbeat of Waterford Gospel Church is evangelism. We endevour to reach the lost with the glorious, liberating message of the Gospel. According to the United Nation's, the world population has now reached 6 billion! It is estimated that 1.1 billion people have never heard the 'Good News' of the Gospel. There are 12,000 unreached people groups in our world. Paul could say," Woe is me if I preach not the Gospel!" ( 1 Cor 9:16) If sinners will be damned at least let them leap to hell over our bodies - C.H Spurgeon 2. To Expound the Scriptures (2 Tim 4:2) It was Dr. Martyn-Lloyd Jones who said, "The greatest need today is a return to expository preaching."Our mission is to COMFORT the aflicted and to AFFLICT the comfortable! 3. To Equip the Saints (Eph 4:11-12) Through the preaching of the Word, we endeavor to 'Make Disciples', calling the people of God to demonstrate the reality of Salvation by holy living(1Pt1:15-16). Therefore our CREED should effect our CONDUCT; our BELIEF should effect our BEHAVIOUR; and our POSITION shouild be reflected in our daily PRACTICE. It was Dr. Martyn-Lloyd Jones who said, " If you do not desire to be holy I do not see that you have any right to think that you are a christian."
