Cathedral of Refuge Church of Deliverance,Inc. began its primary mission of winning the lost to Christ on Sunday, October 12, 1997, as a congregation. According to the word of GOD in II Corinthians 4:3-4, "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them that believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of GOD, should shine unto them." So in order to reach the lost and allow the gospel to shine unto them, we must minister to the Total Man. We are living in a time where humanity is hurting and the only way for us to achieve a healing, is through the gospel of Jesus Christ. In order to minister to this hurting humanity and the total man, we must be a ministry equipped for the 21st century. A ministry that is willing to help EVERYONE and not exclude ANYONE. We must be able to minister to the alcoholic, drug addict, homeless...and those that make up the congregations as well. The VISION cannot consist of the normal Sunday Morning Worship, Wednesday Evening Bible Study, etc; those things that we are so ofter accustomed to, but our vision includes Worship on Sunday (learning how to live HOLY) and Outreach throughout the week (living HOLY from what we have learned). We also desire to encompass, in the very near future, feeding the hungry, housing the homeless, senior adult care, substance abuse programs, tutorial programs, and literacy programs, just to name a few. All of these programs will be housed under "A Place of Refuge". This charitable and educational corporation which will allow those that are hurting and in need of REFUGE, to not just find refuge in the church building, but REFUGE in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Pastor Anthony B. Wilson & First Lady Rita S. Wilson, wishes to extend a warm welcome for you to worship with us at any and all of our services.
