Outreach
The church is composed of local Greeks, American residents, Albanian residents and Bulgarian residents. Thessaloniki has over 60,000 university students from many countries and the city was voted the Cultural City of Europe in 1997. The church is trying to reach out to locals and foreignors alike with the simple message of the Bible.
Other activities
Wayne Speer is the Thessaloniki Director of the World English Institute, which offers free English courses using the bible as the text. The organization operates world-wide and its home offices are in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. Its president is Dick Ady. The course offers students, whose first language is not English, the opportunity to study both English grammar and comprehension while also receiving a wonderful overview of great events and people of the Bible.
