Ukrainian Orthodox Church in México
History
The Ukrainian Orthodox Church in M�xico is part of the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church - Canonical, originally established in 1924 with a Tomos issued by His All-Holiness Gregorios VII, Ecumenical Patriarch. This Tomos re-established the historic Kyivan-Rus [Ukrainian] Metropolitanate as an Autocephalous Church, placing the responsibility of establishing a new Synod of Bishops upon His Beatitude, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Warsaw, Dionisij Walenynskyj. Through the years, because of the War and its resulting partitions, the Bishops of the Ukarinain Autocephalous Orthodox Church - Canonical were forced into exile. In 2002, His Beatitude Metropolitan Moisei [Oleh Ivanovych Koulik], Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Russ-Ukraine, returned from the diaspora to re-establish the Church in Ukraine and to unite all the various Churches which had developed in the Diaspora. In 2005, the Synod of Bishops elevated and enthroned Metropolitan Moisei to the office of Patriarch of the UAOC-C in an impressive ceremony at the Cathedral of Saint Sophia [Kyiv, Ukraine].

La Iglesia Ortodoxa Ucraniana en M�xico es parte de la Iglesia Ortodoxa Ucraniana Autoc�fala - Can�nica, establecida originalmente en 1924, con un Tomos proclamado por Su Toda-Santidad Gregorios VII, Patriarca Ecum�nico. Dicho Tomos reestableci� el hist�rico Metropolitanato de Kiev-Rus [Ucrania] como Iglesia Autoc�fala, y coloc� la responsabilidad de constituir un nuevo S�nodo de Obispos sobre Su Beatitud, el Arzobispo Metropolita de Varsovia, Dionisij Walenynskyj. Por a�os, a causa de la Guerra y sus divisiones resultantes, los Obispos de la IOUA-C fueron forzados al exilio. En 2002, Su Beatitud Moisei [Oleh Ivanovych Koulik], Metropolita de Kyiv y de Toda la Russ-Ucrania, volvi� de la Di�spora para reestablecer la Iglesia en Ucrania, y para unificar las diferentes Iglesias que en la misma Di�spora se hab�an desarrollado. En 2005, el S�nodo de Obispos elev� y entroniz� al Metropolita Moisey [Moses Koulik] al oficio de Patriarca de la IOUA-C en una impresionante ceremonia en la Catedral de Santa Sof�a [Kiev, Ucrania].
