Background information
The Anglican Orthodox Church was founded in 1963 by Bishop James Parker Dees, the first Metropolitan of the Church, after separating from the Episcopal Church in the USA over doctrinal differences and questions of morality which were not being addressed in that denomination. The AOC takes a vigorous stand for the Word of God as presented in the King James Version of the Bible(in English), the Apostles' Creed, the 1928 Book of Common Prayer, the Thirty-nine Articles of Religion, the Homilies, and the Creeds and Counjcils of the Church. The Church is worldwide having branches in India, Africa, the Philippine Isalnds, and Pakistan.
