Lively Stone Church will be holding its Second Annual Crusade under the Yellow tent. February 5, 6 and 7th at 7pm nightly. Lively Stone Church of God, St. Louis Missouri will be our special guests and sermons will be delivered by Bishop Scott pastor of that church. THE Second week of January was YOUTH REVIVAL week here at Lively. There was an awesome word delivered and a number of young people gave their lives back to CHRIST...AMEN indeed...updates on this event will be loaded shortly. Operation Lively Stone by Stone is in full swing. We are building our church, STONE by Lively STONE and we want to be debt free upon completion of the project. Pastor Hepburn, some of our Deacons and other men of the congregation can be seen at the site, Knowles drive off Harrold Road, supervising and participating in the construction of the church and the adjacent administrative office. Currently an appeal is still ongoing for donations of materials to complete construction. A major item in demand is concrete blocks which are purchased at 1.39 a block, many more are needed and a pledge of any amount will go a long way. Lively Stone Church is continuing its clothing and homecare goods drive. The ministry is in constant need of clothing and baby care items. The area in which our Church is planted benefits greatly from the donations, this ministry is now developing to include the disbursement of Creole bibles to Haitian immigrants as well as Spanish bibles to Cuban immigrants at the Immigration Detention Center and throughout the community. Any donation or interest in becoming a sponsor would be greatly appreciated as well suggestion and prayers are always anticipated.
Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Lively Stone Church has in its short existence grown spiritually, its purpose and its importance in the community is rapidily being understood. While the church itself has not received a massive boost in membership we have successfully maintainted a steady flow of persons interested in the Gospel and the church, often becoming members, on average two to three individuals join every two months, and recently we have been blessed with families joinging the ministry. While many rate the success of their church by the amount of members, money and publicity that they attain, we set out to rate the success of our church, by determining if our purpose is being closely carried out and our impact in the community a postive one. The church is most certainly the example in the community, it is the shelter in the "time of storm", it is the beacon. We must assume a greater responsibility for our surrounding areas, and with this in mind, Lively Stone is still closely associated with the community that God has planted it in. This year, which at Lively Stone is the year of "BLESSINGS AND BREAKTHROUGH" is a most important one, we have recognized that although a large amount of our finances and time are geared toward our building and the financial drives, we must not forget the people and our ministries that we have set in place. Our Clothing and Homecare Ministry as a result has grown to include books, such as educational reading instruction, math and other basic subjects, a special effort is being made to recruit donors of Creole and Spanish Bibles, as well as dictionaries in Creole and Spanish for our Church Officers and Church Ambassadors, so that they may be more effective in ministry when they encounter individuals who speak the said languages. A powerful focus has been established on revamping our Youth Department, the youth are most cetainly the future of the Church, we have put some programs in motion to keep our young people motivated, the Youth Revival was the first of great things to come. Brothers and Sisters, Lively Stone is a Ministry that God has touched, I would like to invite you to worship with us sometime, say a prayer for us, or even make a donation to the Ministries in place or even our building drive. The Lord is blessing us, and I know he will do the same for you. Don't forget you can send your prayer requests to our email address, we will most certainly pray over them God Bless you, Godfrey K.
