Heritage Mission Statement
We are a people who have been created by God, fallen into sin, forgiven by Jesus Christ, purchased with His blood,and called to be a witnessing/serving people in today's world. When we gather within the walls of the chruch and when we scatter to be the church, this will be our purpose: -- to glorify God -- to know, teach and live by God's word -- to live in love and fellowship with others -- to reach the world with this good news
A Brief Description of Heritage
The Heritage Reformed Church was begun 23 years ago. We are located right next to Hudsonville High School on 32nd Ave., the main north/south road through the community. Our community is growing very fast because it is such a wonderful place to live. We have a fantastic public school system and several Christian Schools. Along with the community growth, our congregation has grown also. We have doubled in size during the past 9 years from about 75 families to over 150 families. Our moring worship attendance averages around 400 people. In the beginning, we met for worship in a small multipurpose building but in 1994, moved into a beautiful, fully air-conditioned worship facility with sufficient classrooms for Christian Education and Youth ministry. We are a Christ-centered, Bible believing church. The Bible is our final authority regarding what we believe and how we live. We are a very mission minded congregation devoting one fourth of our yearly budget to mission, ourtreach and benevolent organizations. We also send out several groups from our church each year to short-term mission experiences. Our worship services could be characterized as being theologically conservative, methodologically flexible, and respectful of the feelings and desires of all.
