Not of This World Bookstore and Chapel is dedicated to St. Innocent of Alaska, St. John Maximovich and Fr. Seraphim Rose of Platina. We are a missonary chapel/bookstore seeking to bring the light of Jesus Christ into the streets of Santa Rosa, CA, introducing Holy Orthodoxy to all who would come through our doors. Our missionary chapel is open from noon to 10 pm on most days. Our bookstore offers a good selection of books on patristics, liturgics, Church history, etc., Orthodox CDs, assorted church goods and icons. Our peanutbutter balls, made by Sr. Barbara with both love and the Jesus Prayer are known far and wide.

Death to the World

"Death to the World" is a "zine" published by young monastics and lay people as a missionary outreach to the God-seeking, struggling, sometimes despairing young generation. "The World" is a term used by the Holy Fathers to describe the collective passions. Christ taught that we cannot serve two masters, we will either love the one, or hate the other. Hence the title. DTTW is available at our mission at Not of This World or by writing to us. An article about this mission is featured in the Utne Reader entitled "Punks to Monks."
