Heartland Ministries was begun in 1983 as a Spirit-filled fellowship of Believers. It has always been the desire of the Founding Pastors, Bill and Connie Salsbery, that Heartland would be a place where Jesus would be exalted, the Holy Spirit would be welcomed, and people's hearts and lives would be changed. By God's grace and blessing this ministry has grown to over 300 members, over 150 youth and adults have been sent out on life-changing mission trips, and several members have entered full-time Christian service.
Heartland sets in a unique location--out in the country--on 30 acres of farmland in central Indiana near Kokomo in Tipton County. The Lord has given us "a heart for the Heartland, and a vision for the world".
1. That God's love through Jesus be proclaimed to the world.
2. That disciples be made.
3. That the Holy Spirit (including His gifts) be welcomed.
4. That true Christian fellowship be enjoyed.
5. That the love of Jesus be visible in practical ways of sharing and serving.
6. That marriages be strengthened.
7. That families be blessed.
8. That every believer find and possess the victorious life in Christ.
