Chapel Hill Christian was started in 1866 at it's present site. Members are mostly those who grew up in the area and maintain their family roots and culture of this area of the Knobs. Known for the applebutter they back each fall and market at the New Albany Harvest Home Coming the second weekend in October. First Saturday in November is the annual Turkey & Ham Dinner offering traditional home recipes of the Knobs. Vacation Bible School is usually the 3rd week in July.
Traditional Christmas and Easter programs for all ages. Family values is the hallmark of Chapel Hill. The congregation is affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) through the Kentuciana Area Association, the Christian Church in Indiana, and the general manifestation the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the USA and International. The congregation invites all who seek a closer relatonship with Jesus Christ as the Son of God, Messiah, and transformer of the world through God's love which transform the world.
