In Leviticus the 26th chapter, God told His chosen people to keep my Sabbaths and reverence my sanctuary: I am the Lord. The sanctuary is a holy place set apart for the worship of God. When Jesus went into the temple He drove out those who brought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. He declared that it was to be called the house of prayer. We need to be prayerful about the use of God's sanctuary, it is a place set apart for God to dwell. Because God dwells in us, we are to be holy unto God. Just as God manifested His presence in the Holy of Holies, He desires to manifest His presence in us. When Judas (not Iscariot) said to Jesus, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us? Jesus said, if anyone loves me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. Just as the building is to be Holy unto the Lord, so shall our bodies be, they both are sanctuaries of God.
