St. John's Church is the southernmost Episcopal Church in Miami-Dade County, Florida. It is part of the Episcopal Diocese of Southeast Florida and the world-wide Anglican Communion. The parish ministers to the multi-cultural agricultural, business, maritime, and military community that is south Florida. As a favorite winter destination, St. John's also ministers to a increasing Anglican "Snow-bird" community.
St. John's has recently developed a long range planning process for parish development supported through our Endowment program. Inquiries regarding contributing to our Endowment program are prayerfully encouraged.
St. John's Day School is an outreach ministry to children, Pre-K through the Eighth grade. Our school has an innovative curriculum and has awarding winning academic and choral programs. School inquiries are solicited at 305-247-5445, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
St. John's is deeply involved in ministering to the spiritual and physical needs of the parish and community. Of the highest priority, the parish supports its youth ministry programs. Its Sunday School and Youth Group programs are improving daily through the efforts of lay persons called to this ministry.
Other equally important outreach ministries of St. John's include The Brotherhood of St. Andrew; Episcopal Church Women (ECW); Daughters of the King; Altar Guild; Flower Guild; Hospitality Ministries; and our Greeting Ministries. The Shepherd of the Streets Ministries is an outreach bridge ministry of three parish members seeking the Diaconate.
