We obeyed his voice and the Lords Spirit was in the place. That was the beginning of United Evangelistic House of Prayer for All People. The Lord has been dealing with me greatly concerning my ministry, and I knew it was time to come from under my Pastor, Rev. Doris Rorie Phenix, and leave Church of Faith, House of prayer & Praise. Going back only to be a blessing to my Pastors ministry. Having been lead, as I believe by the spirit of GOD. I have received the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior, and on the profession of my Faith, Having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. I do now in the presence of GOD, Angels, and this assembly. Most solemnly & joyfully enter into covenant with GOD and Church as one body in Christ. I engage, Therefore, by the aid if the Holy spirit. To walk together in Christian love. To strive for the advancement of this church, United Evangelistic House of Prayer for All People, in knowledge and Holiness. To give it a place in my affections, prayer, and service above every organization in human origin. To sustain it's worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrine. To contribute cheerfully and regularly, as God has prospered me towards its expenses. For the support of a faithful and evangelical ministry I will aid in the relief of the poor, and spread of the Gospel throughout the world as far as God grant my feet to trod. In the case of a difference of opinion in the church I will strive to avoid a contentious spirit, and if I cannot Covenant continued… Unanimously agree I will cheerfully recognize the right to seek God for direction. I also engage to maintain family and secret devotion. To study diligently the word of GOD. To religiously educate my children to seek the salvation of our GOD. To lead kindred and acquaintance to walk circumspectly in the world, becoming a people after God's own heart. To be kind and just to all those both in my ministry, other ministries, and on the outside. I will be faithful in service, promising others to endeavor in purity of heart and good will towards all men. To exemplify and commend our Holy faith. I further engage to watch over, to pray for, to exhort and stir up others unto every good word and work. To guard others reputation not to needlessly expose the infirmities of others. To participate in each other's joys and with tender sympathy bear one another's burdens and sorrows. To cultivate Christian courtesy, to be slow to give or take offense but, always ready for reconciliation. Being mindful of the rules of the Savior in the eighteenth chapter of St. Matthews to secure it, reconciliation, without delay. And, through life, amid evil report and good report to seek to live to the glory and honor of God, Who hath called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 peter 2:9 A - Men This is my covenant as God has given unto me on this 25th. Day of January 26, Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-nine. Pastor Robert lee McGill Sr.
