1999 MONTH OF MAY WORD EXPOSITION CAMPAIGN
After about 2 years of dayly and week after week of prayer and travailing before God Almighty, we feel led to launch this open air Word Exposition Campaign. Our theme will be: SOARING INTO NEWER HEIGHTS IN THE NEW MILLENIUM THROUGH THE POWER OF HIS WORD! This is a discipleship campaign of a magnitude that we have never attempted before. The thrust of the exercise is the teaching and exposition of God's Holy Word by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is a strategy of outreach for the harvest, which I am persuaded to believe will bring in great returns for the Lord in this community that we serve. We as a local church are continuing in fasting and prayer, getting deeper into spiritual warfare for the release of peoples in this mixed community. The Muslims and Hindus have strong holds here and so do other pseudochristian sects and cults. Already we are experiencing some wonderful breakthroughs in communal settings literally impenetrable to earlier outreaches. Through intense prayer,however, the strong man is being bound and he is releasing the spoils for our taking. God is good and his power is being released as people continue to earnestly seek more of His grace. Trully there is evidence here that the earnest prayer of a righteous man is indeed powerful and effective. We trust that come the month of May, there shall be a tremendous outpouring of the Spirit of God. We covet your earnest prayer and, if possible, your financial support to cover for the costs of this huge open air nightly meetings. Night after night for 30 days the word shall be expounded in a way never before done by any Pentecostal outreach in this particular area. We are praying for a $F30,000 budget. This will cover for the ground clearing and hire, PA systems, transport to cart people to and fro, lightings, publicity, Christian literature, honourarium for our musicians and of course administration costs. Do realize that this amount can never be raised by this 80 or so odd members of this local church in such a short time without God's divine intervention. We, therefore, feel directed to look outside our locality and to plead for your support. Be a partner with us. Please pray and give towards this exercise! This is just the beginning of the many more meetings that we will be conducting to bring in the harvest for our Lord. May the Lord Bless you for visiting us. DECEMBER-JANUARY 1999-2000
SOARING INTO NEWER HEIGHTS IN THE NEW MILLENIUM THROUGH THE POWER OF HIS WORD. This will remain as the theme of the meetings that we will be conducting in the December-January session. The second meeting, which will be a much bigger one than the May event, is designed to coincide with the celebrations for the new millenium. Because Fiji is where the new day begins, being located on the international dateline, interests are pouring out from many parts of the world with regards to the millenium celebrations. Sensing that this could be another opportunity taken up for His Kingdom, we propose, therefore, to offer God's eternal Word as the only firm foundation for living throughout all ages come the year 2000. So our next project for another open air teaching of God's Word is earmarked for the last two weeks of December continuing into the first two weeks of January, 2000. Our hope is that by then we will have more local people who will have committed their lives to Jesus Christ and will participate with us for that December-January campaign.
