Vision Statement
The African Methodist Church was formed with two primary goals in mind: 1)To ensure that all people had a place to worship God freely 2)To assist people in obtaining their full potential spiritually, financially, educationally and emotionally. At Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church, we believe that God has chosen the fellowship of believers for a purpose. Therefore, we strive to be a community of believers committed to knowing God, making God known, strengthening our relationship with God and helping others to do the same. Our motto is "Repentance, Renewal, Service--Because When Souls Are Saved Everything is Saved." Therefore, we seek to represent Christ whenever and wherever we have opportunity.
The Love of God is Amazing!
The love of God is amazing. We don't have to earn it. We don't have to be right to recive it. Despite how messed up we may be or how far we stray, God loves us. In fact, God's goodness and steadfast love (better know as mercy) follows us wherever we go. In the midst of despair and grief, God's love meets us with understanding, peace and rest unlike any other rest. It is this love that held Jesus on the cross and this love that caused Jesus to leave the grave behind. These are two things that no one else ever has or ever will do for us. This is how we know how amazing God's love is, Jesus Christ laid down his life and then took it up again so that we could receive the promise of salvation while we were yet sinners astranged from God.
