A Roman Catholic Church in the Green Bay Diocese

Welcome to Saint Mary's Parish! We are a worshipping community in the Catholic tradition, with a genuine Franciscan touch. Founded in 1870, our parish community continues to grow in spirit as we minister to one another and to the wider community of Manitowoc.

We see each other most often during Sunday liturgy. It is here that we gather to celebrate who we are and to support each other as we continue to build the Kingdom of God here on earth.

RENEW 2000

RENEW2000 is a three year parish journey designed to revitalize our own person relationships with God. Through scripture study, reflectio, and sharing in small groups we will prepare ourselves to journey in faith into the 21st century.

RENEW2000 draws upon its involvement with 120 diocese and more that 10,000 parishes who have experinced RENEW. RENEW2000 intends to: * respond to Pope John Paul II's call to a new evangilization * effectively reach out to young adults and families * have a special celebration to mark the coming of the new millenium * provide means of follow-through that will strengthen small Christian communties RENEW2000 will challenge our parish to move intothe 21st century seeking: * to help people grow spiritually * to strengthen Christian values in the domestic family * to reconcile that which divides people of all races, religions, and cultures * to protect and preserve our earthly resources * to work for peace and injustice in a world of conflict and social and economic inequality
