We believe in the Blessed Hope, which the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ, at His return.
We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance: faith in the precious Blood of Jesus Christ and being baptized in water. We believe that the regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing prayer.
We believe that the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.
We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. Amen.
The parallel between God sending Jesus and Jesus sending his disciples describes both the method and the content of mission.
The church's mission, then, encompasses everything Jesus sends his people in the world to do.
A church exists by mission as a fire exists by burning.
The church has a responsibility to show what it means in practice to be a reconciled and liberated community in the midst of a corrupt, distressed and despairing world. It's sent to demonstrate the reality of God's unmerited grace, by practicing forgiveness and by sharing of goods and resources to the less fortunate.
The church is a "steward of God," responsible both for
being a light and an agent of transformation where God's peace and justice
will reign.
