Mission Statement and Traditions
Mission Statement: New Home Lutheran Church of the ELCA is an open family of believers determined to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ through Word and Sacrament. As a congregation, we promise to love and care for each other, our commmunity and the world while growing spiritually and in membership. Traditions: Advent & Lenten services on Wednesday evenings. A Santa Lucia program every year around the middle of December. A children's Christmas program is presented by the Sunday school each year. We enjoy a Lutefisk Supper each year in mid-January.
Worship
Our weekly Sunday service alternates between the Traditional Worship Service(LBW) and a Contemporary Worship Service. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday. We are a small community of believers with a friendly atmosphere. We are the country church in the city. Our church cemetary is located 7 miles west of town where the original church was built.
