Sacred Heart Parish: Mission Statement
Our parish consists of families from West Huntington, Northern Wayne Co., Kentucky & Ohio. Our mission is to proclaim the Gospel through Word and Service in the Tri-State area. We are very active in ecumenical activities with other area churches. New members are welcome (call Office at 304-429-4318 to register). If you are interested in becoming Catholic, our Christian Initiation Program meets Sundays at 9:00 a.m. Our pastor also serves St. Peter Claver Parish at 9th Ave. & 15th St. (Masses Wed. & Fri. at Noon and Sundays at 11:15 a.m.). We are also the Catholic Chaplaincy for the local Veterans Administration Hospital and the local Hospice.
Other Devotions & Confessions
3:00 p.m. Fridays: Chaplet of Divine Mercy followed by Adoration of Blessed Sacrament till 4:00 followed by Confessions. Confessions also available Thursdays 11:30 a.m.--Noon and Saturdays 10:00 a.m.--Noon and 4:30--5:00 p.m.
