CHURCH HISTORY AND BELIEFS
Pastor Stanley Searcy and wife Brenda Searcy were lead by God from Mobile, Alabama to Natchez, Mississippi to establish a new church in the Natchez area for Him. This church first opened it's doors in February, 1997, with only a hand full of members. Since that time, membership has grown to near 800 members from all walks of life and of mixed races and continues to grow, to the benefit of God and drawn by His holy presence. The Church has quickly out-grown the present structure housing the church and God is therefore presently in the process of preparing to erect a new 4,000 seat sanctuary on 25 acres recently acquired by the Church. Everything that has happened has been by the power and presence of God.
At New Hope we believe in praising God and believe in all of the Bible. We believe in letting God have His way and being lead by the Spirit of God, instead of tradition. We believe in the annointing of God and the baptism of His Holy Spirit. We have seen God cure cancer, take people out of wheel chairs, and perform all kinds of miracles in the brief time that the church has been opened. There is nothing that God can't do; He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
