Welcome and God Bless You! "We're moving in the power of Pentecost"! Celebrating fifty years in the beauty of holiness. We are a Pentecostal church with a holiness message. Pentecostal Temple is a body of believers in worship, warm fellowship, growing in discipleship and committed to the Great Commission (evangelism) while demonstrating the Great Commandment. As Pastor-Teacher of this wonderful congregation, my staff and I are committed to restoring hurting people to spiritual health. We are the Church of God in Christ, existing to build, stabilize, strengthen, lift up, equip and encourage people to know the risen Lord! Our church is a purpose based ministry. We are a family oriented church and enjoy the many families who make up our assembly. A collage of cultures, backgrounds and experiences make up the many people you will see at the "Temple". We share the conviction that we are setting a course for ministry in a new millennium with great preaching, good singing and sound fiscal integrity. We hope that you will enjoy our comfortable, informal environment filled with warm friendly people who have a desire for God. Whether you are a first time visitor or regularly attend, our worship experience is enhanced by your presence. We invite you to visit us again and mingle your voice with ours as we worship God! Our purpose remains to bring people to Jesus and membership in his family, develop them to Christlike maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God's name.
Purpose Driven Ministry
Meeting the needs of evolving and challenging families require diversity in ministry. We endeavor to maximize the many talents demonstrated by our members. From children's church to drama ministries, single's ministries to marriage enrichment seminar's to home ownership programs to youth ministries to aerobic to counseling to computer labs to chess clubs - we've planned for you and your family. We are an energetic ministry evolving to develop relevant services for today's need. Like families touched by the curse of drug addiction we are developing a drug counseling intervention program and have referral services available to assist you in this crisis. We are pleased to service our elderly members and those convalescing with our Nursing Home Ministry and the poor of our community with our Food Pantry Ministry. Ya gotta have WORD! Pentecostal Temple endeavors to teach the word of God in simplicity and power. Utilizing our growing Christian Education Department we encourage our members and friends to access knowledge of the word through our Sunday School Ministry, Tuesday Bible Study, and Independent Home Bible Study and Women's Ministry Instructional Classes and our New Membership Classes. Ministerial and lay clergy instructional classes are taught by the Pastor/Teacher (Elder Matthew L. Brown) and designee's to prepare for exhortation and service ministry. Detail course syllabus are developed with required reading (books are available in our Temple Bookstore) and required exams for persons pursuing ministry. Restoration Ministries "a healing word for hurting people" is our para-ministry that houses our production company. Video and Audio productions are produced on site and aired weekly on cable station 18 and commercial station 58. Video and audio cassettes are available along with weddings, baptisms, communions and special "keep sakes".
