Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church

Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church is a landmark and historical church located in downtown Roswell in southeastern New Mexico. Our church is a part of the Diocese of the Rio Grande, which includes all of New Mexico, and southwest Texas. We are proud to have celebrated our centennial in 1999. We describe our church as traditionally holy, and visitors describe our congregation as very warm, loving and welcoming. Our official governing Board, known as the Vestry, has adopted the following mission statement as an expression of their leadership goal: "The mission of St. Andrew's Vestry is to provide leadership for the church, promote unity with Christ and ourselves, and to create a Christian atmosphere in the parish and the community of Roswell. It is our belief that it is the duty of all Christians to follow Christ, to come together for worship, and to work, pray and give for the spread of the Kingdom of God. With over 400 baptized members, Saint Andrew's is the largest Episcopal church in southeastern New Mexico and continues to grow week by week with new people joining our parish family.

Youth Ministry

The youth program at Saint Andrew's is brand new. We have three emphisis: they include Worship, Learning, and Fellowship. Each area is one that we try to reach every week. We try to talk about areas of concern in the life of youth. Youth are not viewed as the upcoming church at Saint Andrew's, but today's church. Each person is involved directly with the church. Our youth serve on the parish Altar Guild, the youth advisory council, and many are officially licensed as Lay Eucharistic Ministers. The youth of Saint Andrew's are also interested in reaching out to the community in a positive way. They have the light that can reach their generation.
