MISSION STATEMENT
Witness for Jesus Christian Church is a Spirit-filled family church--a multifaceted, multiracial, nondenominational ministry with an emphasis on praise, worship and covenant relationship.
Through teaching, anointed preaching, and lifestyle of holiness, we desire to be a people who communicate biblical truths, leadership attitudes and skills to every leader and layperson so all will grow into greater leadership position of ministry within the church and within their personal life.
Because we are building a people of praise and worship, and a people without prejudice, and the believer is firmly rooted in the Word of God and understands the source of their success, they will give all praise to God.
Proverbs 29:18 "Where there is no vision, the people perish..."
Habakkuk 2:2 "And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."
Acts 26:19 "... I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision."
Our vision is to restore a biblical five fold church order where everybody is somebody and to make the church an island in a hostile world where each can come for worship, learning, equipping, fellowship and strength.
We are committed to Evangelize the unsaved and reach the lost for Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8)
We are then committed to making Disciples of those converts. (Matthew 28:19).
By that we mean:
Teaching them the truth of God's Word;
Being an instrument of Healing (body, soul and spirit), and through these teaching and healing, to guide and enable them to grow into the image and likeness of Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:29; Ephesians 4:13).
To prepare God's people for the work of the ministry, by Training and Equipping those disciples for Service in the Kingdom of God. (1 Corin. 12:7, 27-28,Eph. 4:11-12).
We are called and therefore committed to be an instrument of God's grace, bringing Unity and peace to the body of Christ. (John 17:20-23; Ephesians 4:3-4; Psalms 133:1,3)
This is the vision by which we at Witness for Jesus Christian Church are called to fulfill our Purpose of Glorifying God by being conformed to the likeness of God's Son, Jesus Christ. (Romans 8:28-29; Ephesians 3:21; 1 John 2:6; Galatians 5:22; 1 John 3:2; 2 Peter 1:3-4; 2 Corinthians 3:18)
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible Word of God.
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.
We believe that Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the virgin Mary.
We believe that Jesus Christ ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
We believe that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is necessary for the forgiveness of sins through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
We believe in the Blessed hope, which is the catching away of the Saints according to 1 Thessalonians 4:17.
We believe in being born again of the Water and the Spirit according to John 3:5-6.
We believe that being born of the Spirit is essential for having the power to be an effective witness in the world today and enabling the believer to live a holy and set apart life in this present world (Acts 1:8).
We believe in speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance according to Acts 2:4.
We believe Holiness to be God's requirement of living for His people.
