Our Purpose
Carter Memorial Church is "The Church of Faith United in Love." We are
a community of God's people bound together by love and called to the great commission of making disciples, evangelizing the lost, teaching
and admonishing the way of Holiness, and ministering healing and hope
to a hurting and despairing world. This is a Church where God is
glorified and the saints are edified.
Representative Auxiliary Ministries
The Ministry of Education - The Education Department consist of the following teaching ministries: Sunday School, Bible Band, and the
Vacation Bible School. These ministries are designed for the training and enlightening of both adult and child in scriptural understanding and the doctrines of the church.
The Ministry of Music - The purpose of the Music Ministry is to glorify God through the medium of music; to magnify the message of salvation in song; and to serve as a true companion to the ministry of
the Preached Word. The Music Department consist of the following:
Sanctuary Choir, Youth and Young Adult Choir, Sunbeams, and a Men's
Chorus.
Youth and Young Adult Department/ Youth Ministry - The major thrust of the Youth Ministry involves both the spiritual and physical development and enhancement of our youth. Activities vary from biblical teachings to social activities. Topics of concern to the youth of today are discussed, and on occasion outside speakers are employed. This ministry is so designed to reach all ages through a number of specific groups within the department to include the following: Sunshine Band, Purity Class, the Judah Company, Boy's Club, Drama Guild, and Teens Saving Teens (TST).
