A Latino, evangelical church serving metro D.C.
We are a small (@200 members) congregation in the D.C. area ministering to the growing Latino population. We were established in 1978 and have had a continuous witness ever since. We have birthed two daughter congre- gations (in Baltimore and in downtown D.C.). We worship in the power of the Holy Spirit and are open to His giftings. Though our primary language of worship is Spanish, we do translate our preaching and Christian education program into English for our English-speaking members. We welcome you to worship our Lord Jesus Christ with us, should you be visting the D.C. area or do not have a church home.
Church Affiliation
Although we represent a lot of evangelical/charismatic church backgrounds, and are welcoming to all, we are affiliated with the Defenders of the Christian Faith Movement of North America, a historically Hispanic network of urban churches.There are sister congregations in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Kansas City,Puerto Rico, St. Paul, Miami, and others.
