OUR HISTORY AND MISSION
Enlightened Word Ministries is a bible teaching ministry. We believe that each member of the body of Christ is special and important to the Kingdom of God (God's System of Operation), and is essential for the perfected functioning of the local church. We realize that as the sheep (Greek - "probaton" - that which moves forward) of God, we must follow (Greek - "mimetes" - imitate) Him as dear children through the commandments of His son (John 14:21) Jesus Christ (the anointed one with the anointing of God) and should bear fruit of the spirit(cf. John 15:16)as evidence of that fact as we have been ordained to do. As such, we view every member of our ministry as a minister of reconciliation (cf. 2 Corinthians 5:18) created unto good works (cf. Ephesians 2:10) and potential teachers (cf. Hebrews 5:12) (at some level) in need of continuous training and Christian development to fulfill his or her high calling in Christ Jesus (cf. Philippians 3:14). This perspective demands our commitment to a relatively rigorous schedule of Christian education and training on both individual and collective levels. This is accomplished through our weekly bible institute courses, discipleship development and worship services. All are welcome to partake in the divine feast of worship, discipleship training and evangelism with us.
MEET OUR LEADR AND FIRST FAMILY
Dr. Arthur D. Kemp is a man of great vision and faith. Born and reared in Raeford, North Carolina, he obtained the B.A. in psychology (Magna Cum Lauda) from North Carolina A&T State University, the M.A. and Ph.D. in psychology at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale (Phi Kappa Phi), and completed two postdoctoral fellowships in clinical behavioral medicine and clinical neuropsychology at the Saint Louis University Health Science Center. Currently, he is an associate professor of psychology at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. The first lady of our ministry is Gina B. Kemp. She holds a bachelor of science in business education with a minor in instructional media technology from Central Missouri State University. She also earned a master of science degree in school counseling along with certification in school administration. Sister Kemp is employed as a school counselor in the Kansas City School system. She and Dr. Kemp have three sons: Austin, Anson, and Arrington.
