The Church of God
We at the First Church of God in Tyler Texas are dedicated to the unity of all the church. We see that Christ truly has but one church and that church is comprised of all the saints both in heaven and on earth. We are by nature then, radically anti-denominational in our approach. We sincerely believe that all of God's people are free to fellowship with one another. This is always best done outside the sectarian boundaries that have been built through the ages.
We teach and practice a holy life, being saved from all sin. We may best be described as Wesley/Arminian in our doctrine. We also teach a personal relationship with Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. We welcome all into our midst and freely understand that not all will have the same understanding and differences in doctrine not germaine to salvation really should not keep God's people apart.
