The Community of Hope Church, an affiliate of the Church of the Nazarene, began its ministry to the Columbian Heights neighborhood two miles north of the White House.
The church witnesses to the community through a number of programs including: a health clinic, employment readiness and placement, substance abuse counseling, Narcotics Anonymous meetings, after-school and summer programs for children and youth, housing counseling, transitional housing for homeless families, and support groups for families touched by AIDS. The congregation is committed to the application of the gospel in a manner that pays allegiance to the social implications of the gospel in a holistic concept.
This summer the members of Community of Hope Church will embark upon a building program that embraces a marriage of faith, hope and ambition.
